Capita Insurance Services has appointed Bill Dye as its new managing director.

Dye will be responsible for overseeing its business lines and leading the company through the next phase of its growth and development.

Separately, Bill Paton has moved into an expanded role as Operations Director for Capita Insurance Services, with responsibility for service delivery issues across the business.

Bill was one of the architects behind Capita's innovative personal lines outsourcing arrangement with Abbey National, a contract awarded to Capita in January 2001 and worth £330 million over ten years.

Chief Executive Paul Pindar said: "Over the last two years we have built a business which is now defining the future of outsourcing in the insurance market.

Through the use of his proven management skills and extensive experience, I am confident that Bill Dye will make a lasting impact in this marketplace. He and his team will be key to ensuring we continue to provide market-leading services to our existing clients and the wider market."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
