Catlin Group, the parent company of Catlin Underwriting Agencies at Lloyd's and Catlin Insurance Company, has appointed three non-executive directors to its board.

Michael Hepher is a former chairman and chief executive of merchant bank Charterhouse, former group managing director of British Telecommunications, and former chief executive and chairman of Lloyds Abbey Life.

Michael Crall will retire later this year as chief executive of Equitas Holdings, the company which reinsured and is running-off Lloyd's pre-1993 liabilities.

Richard M Haverland is a former chairman, president and chief executive of Highland Insurance group in the US.

In addition to their roles as non-executive directors, Hepher will chair the Board's Audit Committee, Crall will chair the Compensation Committee, and Haverland will chair the Investment Committee.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
