CBG Group, the Manchester based insurance broker, financial adviser and healthcare specialist, has appointed Robin Slinger as chief executive.

Slinger has been a non-executive director since October 2004.

The company said it intends to announce the appointment of a replacement in the very near future.

The company also announced a number of other board changes:

  • Martin Lewis, a founder director and main board director, will concentrate on a dedicated role managing the Group's supplier base and technical aspects of the business.

  • Stephen Darcy, a main board director who joined with the acquisition of the Swinburne companies, will be taking a leading role in managing the insurance broking division.

  • Mike Askew, a main board director and founder director of the company, has been appointed deputy chief executive.

    The company added that it will release interim results on 22 August 2006. The Board said it is very pleased with the progress made in the first half and is satisfied that the results are in line with expectations.

  • The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

    Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
