Computer claim support company The Source has clinched the contract as the sole preferred supplier for personal computers and related services for Churchill Insurance's claims settlement division.

Churchill has awarded The Source a three-year contract to repair and supply computer equipment.

It is the first time Churchill has treated computer claims separately from other white good claims.

“We have worked hard to fine tune and add value to our services to the insurance industry,” said Daniel Mitchell, managing director of The Source Claim Support.

“To be selected by one of Britain's top personal lines insurers is a splendid achievement,” he said.

Charles Crawford, Churchill's technical services director said The Source had been picked after proving it could meet Churchill's stringent selection criteria.

The Source said it could offer cost savings to insurers, particularly in the fast growing portable computer market.
