Andrew Twambley, the chairman of the Claims Standards Council has today announced his resignation.
In a statement to the executive and the members he said: "It is with regret that I have decided to resign but due to a change in my own business strategy I feel that I am not able to commit to the role full time.
"At this crucial time before the Compensation Act becomes live on 23 April, I think it is right that I let someone else who is better placed to represent the members to the government take on the role. "
A new interim chairman will be announced after Easter.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
