Global software provider Clear Technology has appointed a new chief financial officer.

Gail Pierce joins the company from Newmerix, a software developer based in Colorado.

She will take responsibility for the strategic direction, operation and management of Clear Technology's financial resources and will report directly to Brian Cohen, the firm's chief executive and president. Clear Technology specialises in providing software solutions to the insurance sector.

Cohen said: “Gail brings a wealth of experience and is a great addition to our executive team. With her depth of experience in financial management and her long track record of helping technology companies attain market leadership, her knowledge and skills will be invaluable to us as we implement our growth strategy.”

Pierce commented: “With an outstanding suite of products and a great reputation with its clients, Clear Technology is well positioned for significant growth and increasing its market share in the insurance industry. I am thrilled to join the company at this exciting time and look forward to contributing to Clear's growth and success.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
