CMGL Syndicate Management has made a series of appointments to strengthen its syndicate management team.

Eric Stobart has been made non-executive director and chairman, and Sarah Wilton has been appointed as a non-executive director. In addition Tim Shenton has been appointed finance director.

All three join the existing board, made up of directors Jerry McArthur, Tim Cox and Rick Morgan.

CMGL said the appointments would support its growing client base and the wider expansion of its Lloyd's operations.

Stobart is currently director of public policy and regulation at Lloyds TSB, while Wilton is a former member of the senior executive and franchise executive team at Lloyd's.

Shenton has been head of syndicate finance for CMGL since 2002, administrating the finances of eight syndicates in run-off. He will now be responsible for overseeing all financial and regulatory reporting functions for the company.
