New managing director vows to increase broer-facing staff numbers.

The new managing director of Countrywide, Nick Haycock, has pledged to double the number of broker-facing staff at the network.

Haycock, who was previously European business development director at the Resources Group and has worked for Aon and the AA, is also set to appoint a new sales director.

Haycock said: “Brokers are key to the success of the business and I have a clear strategy for the future to ensure we retain and build on our current membership.

“There are a number of exciting developments in the pipeline to further improve the benefits our members receive, including additional broker schemes, Countrywide clubs and a number of exclusive products and services only available to Countrywide members.”

The network has over 700 members and plans to add to the eight strategic insurer partners it currently has.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
