Direct Choice has recruited Jon Morrell from Insurecom as deputy managing director.
Morrell will quit the role of strategic relations director next month. He has worked for the company for three years.
Chris Moseley, his deputy at the software provider, will replace him.
Chief executive, Phillip Walter, said: "Jon has worked very hard with us to help get agencyPlus where it is, and was the only person at this level that I decided to keep on when I joined.
"He is a valued member of the team and we will hopefully work together again in the future. I would like to congratulate him and wish him every success."
Insurecom has recruited Chris Moseley from Folgate Masterplan to work on the development of insurer relations in 2004.
AA Insurance recently acquired Direct Choice.
