Backchat this week came across an amusing viral marketing game that pokes fun at some of insurance's biggest direct brands.

Developed by the cheeky chaps at easyMoney, the game involves driving around in an orange easyCar destroying competitors with a variety of weapons including a flamethrower, laser and giant mouse (to scare Elephant's eponymous pachyderm, obviously).

Backchat particularly enjoyed flattening Esure's 'Noo Yoik' mouse with a giant mallet, encouraged by easyMoney's call to arms: "I smell a rat. Would you ever buy insurance off a filthy rodent?"

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
