Recent weeks have seen two of the insurance industry's most powerful insurance company executives resign to move across the distribution divide to brokers.

Last week, Royal & SunAlliance broker boss Brendan McManus revealed his plans to go to broking giant Willis. The previous week, Norwich Union chief Patrick Snowball resigned to go to Towergate.

The talk in the market is about who will be next to hand in their notices – with rumours of more senior departures to come.
