GoshawK Insurance Holdings group chief executive Chris Fagan has resigned as part of a management restructure.

Paul Spencer will become part-time chairman. Andrew Castell will remain group finance director, as well as overseeing the day-to-day management of GoshawK's London operations.

GoshawK said it would concentrate on GoshawK Re, its reinsurance operation in Bermuda, following the news on 31 October that GoshawK's Lloyd's Syndicate 102 had been placed into run-off.

It said the changes stemned from an operation review announced on 3 July this year.

Commenting on Fagan's resignation, the group said: "Having built a strong underwriting and management team in Bermuda and following the decision to put Syndicate 102 into run-off there is no longer a significant role for him in the group."

Group underwriting director Andrew Gammell will also step down from the board at the end of the year, but will remain available to assist with the run-off of Syndicate 102, said the company.

In addition, Russell Brooke, chief executive and chief underwriting officer for GoshawK Re has been appointed to the board.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
