The Brokersure.co.uk standard operating software, standard products, maintenance, updates, staff training and PCs and printers (where required) are all free of charge.
The system is accessed using ISDN2e connections. The total cost of the connection is £75.99 per month plus VAT for up to five users. Installation of the line costs £200 plus VAT. A broker telephone support line backs it up.
Brokersure.co.uk has a dual business-to-business and business-to-consumer capability.
After an initial three month trial, subscribers can have access to a co-branded consumer website for their clients, offering online quotations and cover for private motor, home and travel insurance plus vehicle breakdown. This is supported by a customer helpline.
Brokers must guarantee a minimum £20,000 of premiums per month to qualify for the system.
About 750 brokers have applied to review the system, and it will initially be installed in 25 offices by the end of March.
Most of these, though, are part of the Argent chain, which is owned by Cox.
Brokersure.co.uk will charge an undisclosed commission for each transaction.
