The FSA has appointed three new managing directors who will also serve as members of the FSA board.

Hector Sants joins the FSA from Credit Suisse First Boston where he is chief executive for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Sants has been appointed as managing director, wholesale and institutional markets. He will take up his role on 4 May 2004.

Clive Briault has been promoted to managing director retail markets. He is currently director of prudential standards at the FSA.

David Kenmir, currently director of investment forms at the FSA, has been promoted to managing director regulatory services.

Both Briault and Kenmir will take up their new posts on 1 April 2004, said the FSA.

As previously announced, managing director Michael Foot is to stand down at the end of May when his current term comes to an end, said the FSA. He will subsequently become an adviser to FSA chairman Callum McCarthy and FSA chief executive John Tiner.
