The Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC) has announced a new appointment and a reshuffle of its board of directors.
Lucy Courtenay is to join the FSSC as the director of standards and accreditation. She joins from the CII where she is qualifications director, it said.
Courtenay will oversee the completion of the Examination Review and the development of industry standards and frameworks, said the FSSC. She will also implement the FSSC's accreditation scheme.
The announcement follows the appointment of Mary Greene to the role of business development and research director. Greene will have responsibility for promoting views from across the financial services industry directly to government through Employer Forums.
Her other responsibilities will include securing appropriate government funding for companies to use in training their staff, and coordinating the latest market intelligence to help keep the market at the leading edge.
Her previous roles include sales director at Eagle Star and managing director of the Financial Times Fund Ratings business.
In additionTom Caple will move from his post as head of sector engagement to take up the role of policy and network development executive.
Working with the executive team, Caple will monitor and evaluate the impact of the FSSC on the sector and across the Skills for Business Network within which the FSSC operates with other sector skills councils, identifying best practice which can be introduced into the industry.
