Paul Cousins will join Gallagher later this year

Arthur J Gallagher has hired Paul Cousins as managing director of specialty within its binding authority and facility division.

In the newly created role, Cousins will be responsible for the division’s international and specialty client base.

He will also oversee the arrangement of capacity for the division’s managing general agency and coverholder customers.

Cousins will join Gallagher later this year from Aon Benfield Fac, where he is global head of strategy and business development.

Gallagher’s 40-strong binding authority and facility division – which conducts business in 34 countries and manages more than $1.5 billion (£968m) of gross written premium.
