Gresham has acquired a New York-based marine specialist broking team led by Anthony Piazza, John Dolias and Dana Piazza.
The company said with the support of five other staff members, it has been incorporated into Gresham Marine Services.
It will become a fully-owned subsidiary of Lloyd's broker Gresham Insurance Brokers of London.
Gresham Insurance Brokers managing director Andrew Anthony said: “This will add a new specialist marine dimension to Gresham.
"We are now able to offer our clients a full marine broking service with a team of experienced brokers and a full complement of back-up staff both in New York and London.”
