Insurer strengthens team as Cann moves from ING
Groupama Insurances has appointed Paul Cann as HR director.
Cann joins from ING Banking Group on 16th July and will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s people strategies.
With 15 years financial services experience, Cann leaves his post as head of HR operations at ING’s wholesale banking division to take on the new role.
Based at Groupama’s head office in the City of London, Cann will head a fifteen-strong HR team and report to corporate services director, Paul Picknett.
Groupama has launched a variety of initiatives to develop and attract talent together with a series of targeted schemes and projects to improve employee wellbeing.
Picknett said: “Paul brings to Groupama a valuable combination of HR expertise and practical experience of dynamic change within the UK’s finance sector.”
Cann succeeds Caroline Alexander who left the company earlier this year for family reasons.
Cann said: “I have been really impressed by what I have seen and heard about Groupama.
“I am looking forward to joining the team and helping them build for what I fully expect to be an exciting future.”
