Groupama Insurances is to underwrite a new non-standard motor insurance scheme for specialist motor insurance broker Adrian Flux .

As one of Adrian Flux’s primary insurance partners, Groupama already underwrites almost £20m of the broker’s non-standard personal motor schemes. This is expected to rise to £30m by the end of the year.

The new scheme fits alongside those already underwritten by Groupama Insurances covering non-standard motor risks including motor homes, kit cars, hot hatch, import/performance, modified and other focused offerings.

Groupama Insurances’ personal lines director Kevin Kiernan said: “The addition of this further Adrian Flux non-standard scheme to Groupama’s motor portfolio has enabled us to make a sizeable leap forward in presence in the non-standard motor market. We understand that the real expertise in this field lies with the broker understanding their market. We want to complement and build on this with our own underwriting abilities and comprehensive account management information.”

Adrian Flux’s Gerry Bucke said “Groupama Insurances has demonstrated that it has the technical, claims and IT skills to get these schemes up and running without delay. We are very much looking forward to continuing to build upon our relationship with Groupama as we grow this important book of business.”
