Mark Hardinge, deputy chief executive of JLT Risk Solutions, left the company today.
Hardinge joined JLT Risk Solutions, which is a subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group, last summer from Marsh. He spent 18 years there, mainly building its FINPRO (Financial & Professional) practice.
A JLT spokesman confirmed Hardinge's departure and said it had been decided by "mutual agreement".
According to market insiders, Hardinge may have been forced to resign.
JLT's spokesman added: "JLT remains fully committed to continuing to build a world-class Financial and Professional Risk business and to its team who have already made a strong contribution to the development of the JLT business."
