Helphire has reported a 76% increase in revenue to £76.5m, (2004: £43.6m) in the six months ending 30 September 2005.

The company said gross profit rose 71% to £32.9m (2004: £19.3m) with its profit before tax (under IFRS) at £9.9m (2004: £3.8m).

It also reported an operating profit of £11.0m (2004: £3.8m) representing an increase of 189% on last year and reflecting the increased revenue and tight control of costs.

Chief executive Mark Jackson said: "This has been a tremendously satisfactory period. Albany has been trading ahead of our expectations and Swift Rentacar has already demonstrated its worth. In November the company recorded over 6,000 hires for the first time and we have every expectation of producing further strong growth".

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
