IFB director Ben Fletcher says aggregators hold wealth of data and can play major role in fighting fraud

The Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) is planning to hold a round table with aggregators next month to talk about how they can work together in the fight against insurance fraud.

IFB director Ben Fletcher told Insurance Times: “Theoretically aggregators could join the IFB if they wanted to. There is no reason why they can’t. We have been talking to them for a period of time.

“Aggregators hold a wealth of data. Technologically they have significant capability and the industry recognises that aggregators will be able to play a role in helping us to fight fraud in a number of ways and that is what we are looking at.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
