Shareholders are meeting today to decide whether or not to put more money into Gable

Argo Global has hired a team of people from Gable Insurance Company for its Maltese operation, Insurance Times understands.

According to market sources, this small team of people does not include Gable chief executive William Dewsall.

PwC, Gable’s special administrator has suspended claims payments while it determines whether the troubled Liechtenstein-based insurer can pay all the claims it is facing.

The administrator expects to complete its initial investigations by today.

Gable’s shareholders are meeting today to decide whether or not to put more money in to avoid bankruptcy proceedings.

Argo Global declined to comment.

Gable was unavailable for comment.
