Harvington Underwriting
Bill Hawcroft is appointed regional manager for underwriting agency Harvington Underwriting. He was previously branch manger for AXA. He will be responsible for the selection and development of the company's network of agents in the north.

Independent Insurance
Independent Insurance has appointed four people for its new team in Ireland. Neil McSherry has been appointed regional underwriting manager, Alan Gill risk control manager, John Powell property underwriter and Michelle O'Sullivan Darcy senior underwriting assistant.

Link Insurance
Paul Copeland is appointed agency manager at Link Insurance, the service company for Lloyd's managing agency Kiln. He was previously assistant agency manager representing Link in the north of England.

BUPA
Damien Marmion has been appointed head of marketing at BUPA International. He first joined BUPA in 1994 having qualified as a doctor and worked in BUPA Hospitals before moving to BUPA UK membership in 1995 as part of its hospital contracting team.

Argent
Paul Dodds has been appointed managing director of Argent branch network following its acquisition by Cox Insurance Retail Division.

Smart & Cook
Helen Andrews is appointed to board of directors at Yorkshire-based Smart & Cook. She was previously managing director of J David Petch in Grimsby until its acquisition by Smart & Cook.

Bennington Group
Tony Simper is appointed director business development at the Bennington Group. He has been a Lloyd's broker for the past 28 years and joins from the Heath Group.

HealthSure Group
David Wilson is appointed business development manager at the healthcare intermediary HealthSure Group. He was previously a broker and IFA and worked as a life and pensions consultant with Royal Insurance and as a senior broker consultant with Standard Life.

Bennetts Insurance
David Spring is appointed group marketing manager at Bennetts Insurance. He will be responsible for integrating marketing activity for the group, concentrating on strategic planning and identifying development opportunities.

Law

Jacksons Solcitors
Richard Parker has been elected managing partner designate at Jacksons Solicitors, based in Teeside and Tyneside. He will start the role from July 1 following the retirement of Bill Goyder.

VSB
Graham Chrystie is joining the practice of VSB. He is well known for his dispute resolution and litigation work and is closely involved with developments especially relating to compliance and investment.

Miscellaneous

Joslin Rowe
Mark Amos and Alison Kirkpatrick have been appointed consultants at recruitment consultants Joslin Rowe. Amos will concentrate on general insurance and life and pensions, based in Edinburgh. Kirkpatrick will concentrate on the Lloyd's and company market which will encompass the recruitment of underwriters and related roles.

Cedar PMPL
Tony Sadler and Brian Burgess have joined the management of Cedar PMPL, the data management division of UK software and services company the Cedar Group.

Tadley Services
Stan Noakes is appointed the general manager of cleaning and restoration specialists Tadley Services. He is a chartered loss adjuster and was previously product assurance director at CunnighamEllis & Buckle.
