Forrest will take charge of the broker’s North East businesses
Towergate’s regional managing director for the North East Neil Forrest is joining broker JM Glendinning. Forrest will take up the position of managing director for the brokers North East business on 23 April.
JM Glendinning managing director Nick Houghton (pictured) said hiring Forrest from Towergate shows the strength of the company.
“When someone with the skills and experience of Neil comes onto the market you have to act quick and grab the opportunity,” he said. “To be able to sign Neil up is a fantastic win for us – and a great opportunity for Neil to build an asset with a tangible value attached to it.”
Houghton added that the levels of consolidation in the North East could see more people making the move from consolidators to smaller brokers. “There has been a reasonable amount of broker consolidation in the North East over the last few years – this unsettles good quality client facing people,” he said. “That’s who we are looking to recruit.”
