Limit Underwriting has restructured Syndicate 386 in advance of David Constable succeeding Bob Wallace as active underwriter.

David Harries will be responsible for professional indemnity, Jeremy Fage will oversee the international account and Stephen Fitzgerald will look after the UK regional offices.

Constable is taking responsibility for the UK liability business until a successor to Denis Burniston, the previous UK liability director, is appointed. The company said Burniston had left by "mutual consent".

Limit said Jeremy Fage will be joining the syndicate board, and Terry Whittaker would be syndicate manager and Nic Wellington, deputy claims director.

Limit chief executive Steven Burns said: "We believe the broadened leadership structure is appropriate to the scale of the syndicate, which is being grown to a capacity of £450m for 2003 in response to very hard market conditions."
