Law firms combine to bolster aviation offering
Specialist insurance law firm Kennedys will merge with aviation legal practice Gates and Partners.
Gates provides legal support in aviation insurance law, as well as corporate, commercial, regulatory, competition, employment, finance and dispute resolution sectors.
Gates will form part of Kennedys Aviation, which will have more than 60 staff after the merger on 1 June.
The merger is designed to let Kennedys boost its aviation offering to insurance and reinsurance clients.
Gates and Partners have 20 partners, spread across four offices in London, Dubai, Singapore and Brussels.
The merger will take Kennedys’ partner count to 176, with more than 1,120 people worldwide. The specialist aviation team, Kennedys Aviation, will comprise over 60 people including 20 partners.
