Lloyd's managing agent Kiln has announced that Nicholas Schymyck is to join the insurance underwriters as research and development chief.
Schymyck, who is currently group insurance and risk manager at Pearson, takes up the new role in February 2003.
Robert Chase, director of underwriting at Kiln said: "This is a crucial role at Kiln. Nicholas has many years experience of risk and liability management, from the perspective both of the buyer and the insurer.
"With him on board we will be able to increase the focus that we give to finding innovative ways of providing what the market requires."
