Dagenham and Rainham MP Cruddas fined £300

Labour MP Jon Cruddas was slapped with an eight-week driving ban and fine by Westminster magistrates after pleading guilty to driving with no insurance.

The MP for Dagenham and Rainham, who is chairing Labour’s policy review, was pulled over by police on 6 July and was also found to have an expired MOT certificate.

Cruddas was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 in costs at the hearing on Friday.
