Camberford Law has launched a loss assessors fees insurance (LAFI) that provides the services of a claims assessor in the event of a serious material damage or business interruption.

Premium rates are based on 5% of the premium under the insured's existing personal or commercial policy, starting at £25 for a private dwelling and £50 for a commercial risk.

Cover can be arranged through a quotation fact sheet rather than a proposal form.

Paul Cooper, account executive at Camberford Law, said: “I am sure thousands of people owning commercial and private property throughout the UK wish they had had the benefit of this cover when recovering from the recent flooding.

“As claims become more complex for the claimant – establishing what is a legitimate item to add to the claim, what represents fair and reasonable value, seeking estimates and controlling repairers – is a mammoth, time-consuming project management exercise.

“Now there is a cost-effective alternative that benefits both the client and the intermediary.”

Details are available via the internet on camberford-law.co.uk/assessors.
