Layton Blackham Partnership has completed a deal to sell a book of business to former employees Ron Harris, David Burdett and Alan Smith who left the company last December.
The deal with the newly-formed Chambers and Newman (C&N) is due for completion on 1 May 2004, said Layton Blackham.
Under the deal, staff handling the account are to transfer to C&N, which will then join the Layton Blackham Business Solutions Partnership. C&N will trade from its new offices in Mayfair, London.
Layton Blackham chief executive Chris Blackham, said: “This is an extremely satisfactory solution for all parties which allows us to work in partnership and to concentrate on the future development of our businesses.”
C&N director Alan Smith, said: “We are delighted that we have been able to reach agreement on this matter and, by using the Layton Blackham Business Solutions initiative, it has resulted in a mutual advantage.
