Bank promotes Kevin Cracknell

Lloyds Banking Group has appointed Kevin Cracknell as general insurance finance director following the departure of previous finance chief Stephen Hughes.

“Steve Hughes left the group to pursue other career opportunities. We wish him every success for the future,” a Lloyds spokesman said.

Cracknell was previously planning and reporting director, Insurance at the group.  Before that he was business controller of the European division of Old Mutual. He has also held roles at Resolution and Aviva.

The move follows a series of changes in Lloyds Banking Group’s GI division. GI chief executive Andy Briggs left to head Friends Provident in January.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
