Marsh & McLennan (MMC) senior vice president and chief financial officer Sandra Wijnberg is to resign effective March 2006.
MMC has begun a search for a successor. The company said Wijnberg is expected to work closely with her successor to ensure a smooth transition, the company said in a statement released today.
Wijnberg said: "Now that the company is well on the path to recovering from its recent challenges, I believe that it is the right time for me to explore the next stage of my professional career."
Michael Cherkasky, MMC president and chief executive officer, said: "While we are disappointed that Sandra has decided to leave MMC, we greatly appreciate the substantial contributions she has made."
