The Hillman Saunders Challenge Cup has been won and run - by Marsh. A seven-goal thriller against SBJ saw Marsh secure its place in the final.
But Backchat hears that controversy surrounded the other semi-final after former Aon man Geoff Steeples bagged a "wonder goal" for industry recruiter Hillman Saunders against his old club.
But Marsh prevailed. Team captain Chris Fitzgerald received the trophy and will have the opportunity to defend the crown in the summer. But Marsh didn't have all the glory, SBJ "midfield maestro" Ray Fitzpatrick was crowned player of the tournament.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
