Two-thirds of Insurance Times internet readers have given CGNU the thumbs-down.

In a poll on our website, 66% said the CGU/NU merger will be bad for the industry. Nearly 25% of voters were insurers, who also feared reduced consumer choice. Aaron Rollinson-Payne, Folgate's marketing manager, said: "The market is becoming dominated by the new 'super insurers.' If this domination becomes control, it has disturbing implications for the market.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
