In its interim results for the six months ended 30 November 2004 Misys said its general insurance business had experienced a growth in revenues and profits.

During the period, Misys General Insurance achieved revenues of £16m (up 7% up on previous year) and an operating profit of £7m (up 8% on the previous year).

Misys General Insurance chief executive Phillip Bell said: ”“Within our existing customer base, the number of broking staff using Misys systems has increased to a record level of 27,000 in 2004 - up 8% on last year according to our latest estimates.

“Brokers using Misys systems are now estimated to control a £6bn share of all general insurance business underwritten in the UK, despite operating in a consolidating market.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
