Smithson Mason Group (SMG) has extended its credit risk division with the appointments of Scott Liddle and Sarah Brown.

The pair will work with managing director David Encell to offer political and credit risk advice to UK businesses.

Liddle, who previously spent six years at Marsh Credit and Political Risks, will work as an account executive, with a brief to generate new business and raise the company's profile.

Brown, who has moved from Aon Trade Credit, will work as an accounts handler and will manage the day-to-day handling of client policies.
