South starts as chief executive of Marsh's UK operations...
Martin South started today as chief executive officer of the UK operations of Marsh.
South returned to Marsh in December after a ten-year stint at Zurich, where he was chief executive of international businesses.
In his new role he will report to Alex Moczarski, CEO of Marsh for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Commenting on the transformational period which the broking sector had undergone since his departure from Marsh, South said: "Clients expect much more than just a placement service, they expect us to be able to help them understand how risk affects their whole organisation and give advice tailored to their specific needs."
He concluded: "I am very much looking forward to working with the talented team at Marsh to ensure that all our clients can benefit from the expertise we have accumulated and continue to build."
