Canterbury brokers and risk managers Clarke Cooper has launched a new insurance package for self-employed consultants.

The Professional Package covers professional indemnities, public liabilities and personal accidents risks.

Clarke Cooper principal Danny Cooper said putting the traditionally separate covers together meant it was possible to offer reduced premiums.

“The Professional Package also overcomes the problem faced by any self-employed person trying to protect their income after an accident,” Cooper said.

“The weekly benefits are not restricted to a percentage of wages as in other policies, but geared to business overheads.

“What self-employed person draws a realistic wage in the first place?”

Quotations for the new policy are available by fax and premiums start at £500.
