Guardian Holdings chief quits

Guardian Holdings group chief executive Rory O’Brien has resigned, the insurer said. Peter Ganteaume, the former chief executive of the group will assume the leadership until a suitable replacement is found. The group reported an operating profit of $259.9m (£126m) for the nine month period ended September 2007 and increased revenues of $3.7m compared $3.2m in the corresponding period in 2006.

QuestGates appoints Pinder

Loss adjuster QuestGates strengthened its liability division appointing Steve Pinder as divisional service manager. He joins from Capita CMGL where he was a senior handler and team leader.

Fitch upgrades Markel

Fitch Ratings upgraded the financial strength rating of Markel International’s insurance company to ‘A’ with a positive outlook from ‘A-‘ with a positive outlook.

Ace launches D&O cover

Ace launched a directors' and officers' (D&O) cover designed to address the increased exposure of individuals and their personal assets.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
