’We remain solidly committed to insurance brokers trading in personal lines,’ says head

Ageas has joined the Co-op Insurance household panel to further strengthen its presence in the UK home insurance market.

The two firms already have a partnership in private motor insurance. By extending its partnership into household insurance, Ageas will provide additional capacity and expertise, helping Co-op Insurance offer more choice to customers.

Gary Keelan, partnership development manager at Co-op Insurance, said: “We’re pleased that Ageas have joined our home insurance panel.

”Having already partnered with them on our motor panel, we know that their underwriting expertise and understanding of the evolving needs of policyholders will leave us even better-placed to deliver quality home insurance for our member-owners and customers.”

Ageas added that the move reinforces its commitment to the UK broker market.

Ben Travis, head of strategic accounts at Ageas UK, said: ”We remain solidly committed to insurance brokers trading in personal lines and so we’re delighted to extend our partnership with Co-op into household insurance.

”Having already worked together successfully on their private car panel, this is a natural next step and reflects our commitment to building strong, collaborative relationships that deliver real value for customers.
