Chief executive describes deal as ‘strong example’ of the insurer’s ‘deep partnership DNA’
Intermediary focused personal lines insurer Ageas UK has extended its long-term partnership with state owned retail organisation the Post Office, to continue providing home insurance policies to the branch network’s customers.
Ageas UK first teamed up with the Post Office in 2019 – since then, the insurer has been the company’s sole provider of home insurance, with the Post Office distributing 150,000 of these policies to its customers as at March 2025.
Ageas UK and the Post Office have now agreed to extend their relationship for a further five years.
Speaking on the partnership, Ageas UK chief executive Ant Middle told Insurance Times: “Growing our home insurance book is a priority for us as we look to balance our portfolio and develop opportunities with our broker partners.
“This is a great example of how we are driving profitable growth with our partnership deals.
“We look forward to continuing to work with the Post Office, using our market leading capabilities in pricing, underwriting and fraud in combination with our technical expertise in data, technology and artificial intelligence to both attract and retain customers for Post Office home insurance.”
Partnership DNA
Middle described Ageas UK’s ongoing backing of the Post Office as a “really strong example” of the “deep partnership DNA” that is an important driver of the insurer’s overarching business strategy.

This mentality can also be seen in the 20-year deal that Ageas UK cemented with specialist insurer Saga in December 2024.
Middle continued: “We have a long tradition of developing very long-term partnerships.
“That’s been a long held way of operating that we’ve been really successful in over the years. Extending our relationship with [the] Post Office is [a] really strong example of that deep partnership DNA we’ve got within Ageas in the UK.”
