’We continually look for opportunities to develop the brand,’ says chief executive
Agricultural broker FUW Insurance has launched a new division as it looks to expand its presence in the Welsh insurance market.
Called FUW Commercial, the division will provide commercial insurance products for a range of businesses, including haulage contractors, construction companies, motor traders, hotels, caravan parks, pubs, restaurants and shops.
The new initiative, which has been launched with an initial focus on north Wales and the A55 corridor, will be led by Esther Richards Dip CII, who has worked for FUW Insurance Services in Flintshire and Denbighshire since 2013.
Richards said: “I’m very excited to be leading this new project aimed at prioritising the insurance needs of businesses and commercial outlets.
“With over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, I understand that every business has unique requirements.
“At FUW Commercial, we prioritise a personalised, collaborative approach to insurance, working closely with clients to tailor insurance solutions that align with their specific needs and budgets.”
‘Looking for opportunities’
The launch of the FUW Commercial coincides with the Farmers’ Union of Wales’ 17th anniversary – FUW Insurance Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of the farming union.

The new division comes as the broker looks to expand its insurance operations beyond its core agricultural products.
Farmers’ Union of Wales group chief executive Guto Bebb said: “We continually look for opportunities to develop the FUW Insurance Services brand and to serve businesses in Wales who need insurance cover.
“The A55 corridor presents a unique opportunity for FUW Insurance Services to capitalise on our ability to offer high quality commercial insurance solutions to businesses, large and small, such as construction companies, hotels and caravan parks, whilst also supporting more traditional high street businesses such as cafes, hair salons and shops.”
