Global head says the appointee’s ’wealth of industry experience, leadership qualities and participation on several high profile transactions made him the right fit’

Broker Aon has named Mike Cane as its new capital advisory leader for the UK.

Cane will be based in London and report to Kelly Superczynski, who is the global head of capital advisory.

In his new role, Cane will help clients with capital structures and improving their efficiency through structured reinsurance, capital relief covers and legacy transactions.

He will also work with the capital advisory’s ratings team and collaborate with the capital advisory unit to bring new propositions to regional clients.

Experience

Cane has more than two decades of experience across underwriting, analytics, reinsurance broking and capital advisory.

He joins from reinsurer Gallagher Re, where he was most recently the UK head of capital solutions.

Prior to Gallagher Re, Cane worked at Wills Re Specialty as its head of corporate solutions for nearly two and a half years. 

He also worked at Lockton Re as senior vice president between October 2015 and September 2019.
