Specialty (re)insurance MGA Rokstone Underwriting has appointed Sam James as head of complex claims.

In her new role, James will oversee Rokstone’s specialist claims capabilities. The MGA said the appointment “is the latest in a series of strategic investments as it continues to expand its specialty underwriting platform”.
Ian Anson, chief executive at Rokstone, added: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome James to Rokstone.

Claims experience
With 25 years’ experience managing complex and high value claims across the insurance market, James has held various senior claims positions including nearly seven years at Convex, where she started as head of casualty claims.

Prior to this, James spent 10 years at Catlin where she was head of casualty claims.
