’We are creating a force capable of addressing the challenges head on,’ says global head

Beazley has merged its in-house cyber services team with Lodestone to form Beazley Security.

The new company combines the risk management services provided in the insurer’s cyber insurance policy with Lodestone’s technical services.

Lodestone is Beazly’s wholly owned cyber security company and works with clients to help them manage business and reputational risks.

Through the new integration, Beazley hopes it new arm will strengthen clients’ cyber preparedness and response capabilities.

The insurer will also invest in new initiatives for the division, such as a managed extended detection and response (mXDR) solution.

This provides 24/7 monitoring, enabling quicker identification and containment of threats.

Appointment

Beazley Security will be led by Alton Kizziah, who is currently the chief executive of Lodestone.

Kizziah said: “I’m excited to lead an outstanding team of specialists committed to providing clients with confidence and peace of mind.”

Bantick added: “We live in an era of accelerating cyber risk and by combining these two experts in cyber security and insurance, we are creating a force capable of addressing the challenges head on.

“I am looking forward to working with Alton and the team to support our clients in an ever more seamless and effective way.”
