’I’m delighted to be joining Biba and look forward to advancing the organisation’s key points,’ says new head of public affairs

Biba has appointed Amy Cox as its new head of public affairs as the trade body looks to strengthen its engagement with government and policymakers.

Cox will officially begin the role on 26 May, reporting directly to Biba chief executive Graeme Trudgill.

Her appointment comes as Biba continues to push its manifesto priorities and reinforce the insurance broking sector’s voice within Westminster and across the wider policy landscape.

Cox said: “I’m delighted to be joining Biba and look forward to advancing the organisation’s key points, while also building long-term strategic insight and ensuring Biba remains a constructive friend and trusted voice for government.”

Experience

Cox brings a broad background in public affairs, policy and stakeholder engagement. Most recently, she specialised in recruiting for public affairs teams across a range of sectors.

Prior to this, she held positions at the Institution of Civil Engineers and Experian, where she led lobbying activity in both the UK and EU for the FTSE 30 business. Earlier in her career, she also worked for a minister in the Cabinet Office.

Trudgill said: “Cox  brings an excellent blend of political, corporate and membership body experience.

”Her expertise and strategic insight will be invaluable as we continue to advocate on behalf of our members and push forward the priorities set out in our manifesto.”
