’Being in the heart of the city, steps from the insurance market, is exactly where a firm like ours should be,’ says UK chief executive

BMS has announced that it will relocate its London headquarters.

The broker said it would move to 30 St Mary Axe, commonly known as The Gherkin, from 1 September 2026.

The move is designed to provide a long-term base for its London operations as it continues to grow its presence in the city and invest in its workforce.

Ian Gormley, UK chief executive at BMS, said: “The Gherkin is a building that means something in this market.

”Being in the heart of the city, steps from the insurance market, is exactly where a firm like ours should be.”

Office space

BMS will occupy four floors within the building, with the new office designed to support collaboration, client engagement and flexible working.

The broker said the relocation would bring its London team closer to clients and market partners, while providing space to accommodate future growth.

Gormley added: ”We have designed the space around our people and our clients and I look forward to seeing the team make it their own.”
