’He is a hugely experienced change and transformation agent, with an instinct for what brokers need,’ says chief executive

Brown and Brown-owned Hedron Network has appointed Chris Welch as its new operations director.

In his new role, the appointee will oversee the next significant change programme at the broker network. This will focus on how it will evolve its use of data to further help partner brokers and insurer partners.

He takes up the role after holding an operations and transformation role at Brown and Brown Europe for just under two years.

During his time at the broker, he temporarily moved  to Hedron Network, where he oversaw major change projects as part of its ongoing evolution.

In his new role, he will report to chief executive Chris Haggart.

Haggart said: “Welch is a hugely experienced change and transformation agent, with an instinct for what brokers need.

“He will play a leading role in the evolution of Hedron and it’s great that he’s chosen to bring his unique skill set to the table, for our benefit and for the benefit of our partners.”

’Modern network’

The new appointee explained Hedron Network is actively looking to strengthen its market position as the “modern network” and is aiming to be seen as a fully engaged partner, “not just a provider of access to products and markets.”

He said: “At Hedron, we strive for more than just transactional relationships with our partner brokers.

“As a modern network, we actively support our partners in achieving their strategic goals. This involves onboarding more partners onto the Acturis platform, granting them access to advanced data analytics and automation tools from FullCircl and Pathway. Additionally, our in-house insights at Hedron further enhance their investment in Acturis, helping them maximise its benefits.”
