’With his long track record of success across underwriting, client service and operations at FM, he brings extensive experience to serve our clients in this important region,’ says EMEA division manager
Commercial property mutual insurer FM has appointed Nicholas McClure as its new chief executive for London operations covering the UK, Ireland, Nordics, Middle East and Africa.

McClure, who will also take on the role of operations senior vice president, first joined FM in 2008 as a production underwriter in Chicago and has held roles across operations, underwriting and client services in the US and UK.
The appointee will take on responsibility for the insurer’s operations in London and will succeed Bill Bradshaw, who retired earlier in 2026. McClure will report into Loïc Le Dréau, senior vice president and EMEA division manager at FM.
Le Dréau said: ”We are delighted to welcome McClure to lead our London operations. With his long track record of success across underwriting, client service and operations at FM, he brings extensive experience to serve our clients in this important region.”

With a particular interest in regulation, technology, innovation and political stories, he has covered issues from the multioccupancy buildings scandal to the insurance implications of quantum computing and the growth of new markets.View full Profile
